Twenty-six members of the Lay Associates of the Society renewed their commitment for one year in Los Angeles, California.
On September 6, eight members belonging to the Lay Associate group of Our Lady of Lourdes parish, Los Angeles, renewed their commitment during the Mass. The lay associates from Queen of Angels parish, Riverside were also present during the occasion.
They were presented to the Provincial by the Coordinator of the Lay Associates Fr. Jesus Zamarripa, SVD. On September 7, eighteen members of the Lay Associates from Queen of Angels parish, Riverside, renewed their commitment during the Mass. Fr. Zamarripa received the commitment on behalf of the provincial.
During the Mass the importance and the vital part the Lay Associates play in the life of the province and the church was shared. They are like the fourth pillar of the Society without which the Society cannot stand. Both the celebrations were followed by a fraternal sharing and meal.
